In the patina process, we cut this beautiful picture of a bobcat into 16 gauge mild steel, and grind every square inch until the sign is pure steel and all of the blue, protective coatings of the sheet steel are removed.  At this point we apply a copper coating to the cat, and a pewter coating to the trap.  The copper adheres to the steel and creates a shiny, cooper coating, and the pewter does the same around the image of the trap but creates a much darker finish.  After the copper and pewter bind to the steel, the piece is treated with an automotive clear coat, locking in the natural beauty and sparkle of the metals.  We can create patinas for any of the metal art we produce.  The process takes much more time and the patina materials that we use are expensive, but if your are looking for a truly unique, very high quality piece of art work with a trapping flavor, we have you covered with our Patina Bobcat Artwork.
