The Montana #3 trap (same dimensions as the old Montgomery #3) is very popular with the live market coyote men across the country.  The 4 coil spring system, rolled steel jaws, and dogless pan design make this trap ideal for strong holding power while keeping foot damage to a minimum.  What this trap is lacking, however, is an adequate kill area for the pan, with the stock pan measuring a meager 5.344 square inches.  To combat this, most modern wolfers using this trap have adopted the use of wire screen pan covers for use with the Montana #3, but wire screen can be difficult to find and to cut, and can be challenging to lay properly over the pan in the set.  Expand-A-Pan fixes this problem, as our weld-on pan for this trap measures 16.688 square inches, or 312% the area of the stock pan and eliminates the necessity of the wire screen.  Expand-A-Pan for the Montana #3……Go Big Or Go Home!
